ANT WORKSHOP
My responsibilities as Lead Artist include creating a visual style for various games, helping to keep visual style focused throughout development, as well as significant asset creation.
I strive to keep the team focused on the big picture of the game while in development rather than just individual elements, providing guidance when required, while still trying to give enough space for each individual to share their expertise and creativity on the project.
My involvement with asset creation extends from concept art through to 3D modelling, texturing, rigging, animation and then implementation in to Unity.

LIGHT GREY ART LAB: NORWAY RESIDENCY

Selected to participate in the residency and present my mini-thesis on the theme of “Social Media and the Disconnection Between People and Nature” & learning from fellow artists from around the world in a 6 day residency programme, featuring workshops and discussions around our craft.

April 2019
Selected to participate in a month long artistic residency in Canada with three other artists, where were instructed by a tutor, focusing on skills and reconnecting with the heart of our work.
Paula started her career in 2013 as a 2D/3D Generalist, creating mobile games at Ninja Kiwi Auckland. She transferred to the Ninja Kiwi Europe branch in 2017 and worked alongside the Dundee team until 2019, where she left to pursue Freelancing and to develop personal projects.
At the start of 2020, she accepted a role as Lead Artist at the Edinburgh based studio, Ant Workshop and has been working there since.

2D/3D GENERALIST
Created final 3D game assets, map environment designs and marketing materials for existing and new IPs. Games Shipped include BTD6 (iOS/Android), Tower Keepers (iOS/Android), SAS 4: Zombie Assault, Fortress Destroyer, Bloons Adventure Time TD (iOS/Android) (in collaboration with Cartoon Network) and Red Reign (Apple Arcade).
